  1. Boot into Live CD
  2. Open Terminal (CTRL+ALT+T)
  3. Enter the following commond to find the linux partition
    sudo fdisk -l

    Sample output:

       Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
    /dev/sda1   *        2048      206847      102400    7  HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
    /dev/sda2          206848   220203007   109998080    7  HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
    /dev/sda3       220203008   688226303   234011648    7  HPFS/NTFS/exFAT
    /dev/sda4       703856640   976771071   136457216   83  Linux

    In the above example my linux installation is in /dev/sda4

  4. Enter the following commands to install grub in linux partition
    sudo mount /dev/sda4 /mnt
    sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/ /dev/sda && sudo update-grub
